The Application Developer program offers its students the opportunity to advance their coding skills by learning advanced concepts and gaining hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, Java, data structures, and algorithms - the skills many employers are searching for most in today’s job market.
This intermediate-level job-training course covers methodologies to plan, analyze, design, implement and evaluate existing systems as well as creating new ones (SDLC). Explore how to be efficient in Agile-Scrum project methodologies using Jira, using one of the most influential software tools in the market. Additionally, we will learn how to manage data using SQL by students by installing, configuring and connecting queries with related software.
You will enhance your fundamentals and excel at understanding program flow. Topics including multithreading, collections, basic I/O, Concurrency, JDBC, Java networking and Java 8 will be covered. Students will also be introduced to Spring MVC, Tomcat, SonarQube, and Maven among many more ensure they know how to wire, create, manage, test and inspect Java programs and projects to deliver quality applications.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Must have at least a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (presently or in the future)
Ideal candidates will be organized, agile individuals interested in business processes, client management, project management and working with a global team of business and technology professionals. To be successful, candidates need to posses computational thinking and self-teaching skills, do well in fast-paced environments and be able to learn new technologies quickly.
Professional, academic, and/or self-taught knowledge and experience should include one or more years of experience in Information Technology related topic areas and familiarity with the following technologies:
Object Oriented Programming (Java, C#/.NET, C++, etc.)
Database Oriented Programming (SQL and/or Oracle)
